"Visit
MCA Kedah & Perak& Southern Thai historical
sites"
On 05-12-10 morning, we
drove to Tambon Klongkwang in Songkhla Province,
to visit the Famous Khao Nam Khang Historical
Tunnel.
This 1,000 meters long tunnel has 16 entrances
with 3 floors linked to each floor with stairs.
It took 200 men & women, using bare hands &
basic manual tools to complete the tunnel in 2
years.
It is impressive how man can work wonder even in
such a difficult condition.
5th Dec was the Thai
King's Birthday, the present King was one of the
most loved king of Thai.
The white steel pagoda was built 4 years ago by
private sector to commemorate the Birthday of
Thai King, using steel & coins. It is beautiful
at night when lighted up. However the night on
7th Dec when we went to the site, it was
drizzling. We could not spend more time to
appreciate the beauty of the Pagoda.
On 07-12-10, after having
lunch with Dato Chong Itt Chew & members, we
went to visit the longest 3D wall painting in
Kedah Padi Muzium. It was very impressive, it
looks so real & so beautiful. The only set back
is the Muzium is right in the middle of padi
field, so far from the town & not much
publicity. We are glad that we made the trip.
We went around visiting in
Hatyai, see for ourselves how tourism
flourishing in Thailand. Floating market is the
new attraction & Big Market has always been the
purchasing point.
4 days 3 nights trip
coming to an end, every member of the trip has
so much to share, so much to talk; anxiously
taking every minute of the journey home to
enhance friendship
