“Ponggal”
On 17-01-10 Sunday morning 9am, MIC Kelana Jaya
celebrated the “ponggal” with their members and
residents. Ladies and men were happily arranging
bricks as stoves and preparing pots for
celebration as early as 7.30am. “Ponggal”
originated from India when farmers have good
harvest, however, in Malaysia is more a symbol
to wish a good year ahead.
格拉那再也国大党在正月十七日早上，在党部前进行
“Ponggal”
庆典。这节日源自印度，与稻米丰收有关。不过，在马来西亚却因“Ponggal”是在每年的正月十四日，－年之计在于春，所以多是为这一年的好运而办。能和印裔同胞共迎
‘好运’
，是一大乐事。
