A PEDESTRIAN
bridge costing more than RM1mil will be built
over Jalan Kewajipan in Subang Jaya.
The proposed
bridge will make it easier for people to cross
the road to get to the Buddhist Association of
Subang Jaya and Sri Varatharaja Perumal Temple
situated next to each other.

project at the site. |
Incumbent
Subang Jaya assemblyman Datuk
Lee Hwa Beng
said the bridge would be built by Ahmad Zaki
Resources Bhd (AZRB), the contractor of the
Kelana-Subang Link project.
“There is a dire need for a pedestrian bridge
especially with the ongoing expansion of the
road to 10 lanes to facilitate the link project
which connects Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang to
Jalan Kewajipan.
“It will become dangerous to the cross the road
especially for those going for prayers at the
two temples,” he said.
He also thanked the AZRB for the bridge which
was an additional project that was not part of
the link project.
Barisan
Nasional’s Subang Jaya candidate
Ong Chong
Swen and AZRB’s executive director
(operations) Bakri Ishak were also present
during a visit to the site.
