constituency honours teachers and mothers
A GROUP of
mothers and teachers in the Kelana Jaya
parliamentary constituency were honoured
recently in conjunction with Mother’s Day and
Teacher’s Day, which are celebrated in May.

parliamentary liaison officer Ong Chong Swen
went on a walkabout to distribute gifts like
glass rose, fridge magnet and flower vases as
tokens of appreciation to the mothers and
teachers.
For all: Ong
presenting tokens of appreciation to mothers and
teachers during a walkabout in the Kelana Jaya
parliamentary constituency.
Asked about
the significance of presenting flower vases as a
gift, Ong said: “Most of the time, the mothers
and teachers will be receiving a stalk of rose
or carnation as a gift for Mother’s Day and
Teacher’s Day.
“I decided
to present them a flower vase to hold the stalks
of flower.
“The vase is
everlasting, which represents my thoughts and
appreciation for their contributions as mothers
and teachers,” she said.
Ong was
accompanied by Subang Jaya state liaison officer
Gan Meng Foo, Kelana Jaya Wanita MCA
vice-chairman Lim Lean Huwa and executive
secretary Chen Kin Fai during her walkabout.
